About this Program
The Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Psychology (Online) focuses on providing students with a firm grounding in the field of psychology. It encourages students to embrace diverse theoretical perspectives and ideas, to develop skills in independent inquiry, and to constructively and ethically apply psychological principles.
The major prepares students for applied careers in human services and graduate education while advancing their personal growth and life-long learning. Students contribute to the advancement of psychology through research and other scholarly activities as well as through fellowship in student psychology organizations.

Acquired Skills

Admissions and Scholarships

Requirements
New students are admitted for Fall Semesters only.
- Completed Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree, Associate of Science (A.S.), or the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MNTC)
- Overall cumulative GPA of 2.5 (overall cumulative GPA of 2.0 starting Fall 2024)
- College Algebra, ACT mathematics score of at least 21 or higher, or math placement through the Accuplacer
- Equivalent of UMD's General Psychology
- College-level biology course with a lab component
