About This Program

Our Economics of Sustainability minor will harness your passion for global sustainability in combination with economics, providing you the opportunity to investigate pressing questions of our time. This minor provides a basic overview of how economic principles can be used to understand the interrelations between society and the environment. You are introduced to both environmental and social systems necessary to comprehend the scale of this global challenge.

Learn how economic and environmental policies can advance the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as climate action, decent work and economic growth, poverty reduction and clean energy. You have the opportunity to engage with environmental policies structured to address environmental challenges and to learn about natural resource management and how economic tools can be used to sustainably manage resources such as water, forests, and fisheries.
