About this Program
American Sign Language is present in every realm of modern life. Deaf Studies will prepare you to communicate with family, employees and friends who are deaf, hard-of-hearing, or deaf-blind. The deaf studies minor complements almost any field of study, particularly education, human services, liberal arts, theatre, and business. The minor is also useful if you are interested in pursuing further study in sign language interpreting or deaf education.
