About this Program
The Certificate in Project Management is intended to provide the fundamentals of managing the complexity of modern projects. Participants will attain the skills to participate in and lead various aspects of construction or operations-related projects, from initial development and budgeting to progress reporting and project closure. Along with project management tools, they will learn the elements of working in and leading teams and organizations.
Requirements
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic principles that guide design and construction of projects.
- Analyze professional decisions based on ethical principles, different project delivery methods, and roles/responsibilities of all key stakeholders involved in the design and construction process.
- Create project safety plans, cost estimates, cost controls, schedules, and project bids.
Courses (Fall or Spring Semester):
- CE 3026 - Project Management (3 credits)
- BUS 2300 - Fundamentals of Operations Management (2 credits)
- BUS 2400 - Fundamentals of Organizational Management (2 credits)
- CHE 4501 - Chemical Engineering Design I (3 credits) or
- IE 3125 - Engineering Economic Analysis (3 credits)
Take 1 or more course(s) from the following:
