About This Program
The Sustainable & Resilient Engineering Graduate Certificate helps engineers design solutions that respond to environmental, economic, and community needs. Fully online coursework connects sustainability principles with energy systems, communication, and design decisions across different settings.

Requirements
Admissions Requirements
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in engineering or another highly technical STEM field. A complete application includes a resume and unofficial transcripts.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis for fall, spring, and summer admission with priority deadlines of April 15 for fall and summer enrollment and November 15 for spring enrollment.

Course Requirements
Complete all four courses, which may be taken in any order:
- ENGR 6201: Foundations in Sustainable Engineering(3 cr)
- ENGR 6202: Electrifying the Global Energy System (3 cr)
- ENGR 6204: Communication and Community Engagemetn for Sustainability Projects (3 cr)
- ENGR 6205: Appropriate Design for Sustainability (3 cr)

Scholarships may be available to students living in the northeastern Minnesota counties of Aitkin, Carlton, Cook, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake, or St. Louis. Contact the Program Coordinator for information about eligibility and availability.
