About This Program
The Teaching Life Science program prepares you to teach science both inside and outside the classroom, integrating environmental education into formal and non-formal learning settings such as parks, nature centers, and outdoor education programs. Located in the heart of northern Minnesota, the program provides opportunities to learn in diverse natural environments and apply science to real-world experiences.
The Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree prepares you for Minnesota licensure in General Science (grades 5–8) and Teaching Life Science (grades 9–12). Coursework is offered collaboratively through the Department of Education and the Department of Biology. You also have the option to complete an environmental education emphasis as part of the major.
Program Highlights

Scholarships
Current students in CEHSP may be eligible for both merit-based and need-based scholarships. More than 100 scholarships are available each academic year
