About This Program

Do you enjoy working with people? Would you like to play a key role in hiring, retaining, and supporting employees? Do you want to help organizations manage their human capital in ways that benefit both the business and its people? If so, the Human Resource Management (HRM) major may be a great fit for you.

This major equips you with a strategic understanding of how to plan, develop, and manage the workforce in today’s complex and competitive environment. You’ll learn how effective HR practices can enhance employee well-being and organizational performance.

Student Internships

LSBE’s in-house internship program is led by a dedicated director who manages over 200 internships annually. The director works closely with you and employers to ensure meaningful, career-relevant experiences.

HRM majors regularly intern with organizations such as: 3M, Target, SPS Commerce, Cintas, Sherwin-Williams, Land O’Lakes, UnitedHealth Group, and many others—including school-year internships in Duluth or remote roles.
