About This Program

For students who are passionate about inclusive education and want to make a lasting impact in the lives of all learners, the Integrated Elementary & Special Education (IESE) major offers a unique and rewarding opportunity.

This dual-licensure program prepares future educators to provide both elementary and special education services in inclusive general education classrooms—equipping you to support the learning and success of all students, with and without disabilities.

Through a blend of evidence-based coursework, immersive field experiences, and student-centered pedagogy, you will explore effective strategies for differentiation, co-teaching, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and trauma-informed practices. From understanding the foundations of special education law to creating responsive classroom environments, you are prepared to meet the diverse academic, emotional, and social needs of every child.
