About This Program

Computer science is the study of computers and computational systems, so it covers most interactions involving computers. It is a discipline that requires understanding the design of computers and computational processes. The Computer Science B.S. is an accredited, four-year program that provides a solid foundation in mathematics and statistics, computational problem solving, software design and analysis, programming languages, algorithms, data structures, and computer organization and architecture.

The field of computer science is ideal for people that want to put both sides of their brain to work. Classes offered teach you how to be more analytical and logical, but you also learn to embrace creativity and innovation. This program may be a good fit for you if you love technology, are interested in learning computer languages, and would enjoy trying to come up with ways to make computers and mobile devices better. It is ideal if you enjoy continually learning and adapting to new technology.

The program provides the necessary foundational studies for students preparing for graduate school, as well as those seeking careers in the industry.
