About This Program

The Electrical Engineering minor provides you with basic knowledge and skills needed to understand electrical circuits, signal analysis, electronics, and digital systems. It provides high quality education in electrical engineering related topics that will prepare you for employment opportunities in the private and public sectors.

In addition to SCSE scholarships, department scholarships include: Robert Marchetti Engineering Scholarship, the Electrical Engineering Scholarship, and the LHB Electrical Engineering Scholarship.

  • Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers student chapter provides the opportunity for you to meet and communicate with each other
  • UMD Robotics Club is devoted to inspiring you in science and technology, from building and flying model aircraft to competing in national level battlebot competitions
  • In addition to electrical engineering clubs, we also have multiple engineering societies and clubs that serve the students by supporting ideas and innovation. Including the Society of Women Engineers, the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers (MnSPE), and the Order of Engineer
