About This Program
Industrial Engineering is a multidisciplinary field that integrates concepts from manufacturing, management, service delivery, and traditional design. Industrial engineers are dedicated to optimizing complex systems and processes that require interactions between people, materials, equipment, and the surrounding environment. By doing so, Industrial Engineers improve productivity, quality and efficiency while reducing costs, injuries and waste across a wide variety of organizations, from local outfits to global enterprises.
This program may be a good fit for you if you enjoy math and science, are a creative thinker, problem solver or troubleshooter who enjoys figuring out how to make things work better and are someone who likes to work with other people.
The mission of the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering program is to deliver a hands-on, laboratory-intensive undergraduate education that provides you with the tools and skills to excel in the IE profession as you pursue lifelong learning and contribute to society. The program emphasizes a systems-based approach and offers unique opportunities for undergraduate research.
