About This Program
In an ever-changing media environment, the Journalism minor exposes you to a toolbox of skills and a critical study of mass media. This program provides a foundation in reporting and editing skills for those interested in jobs requiring strong writing and copy editing skills.
We focus on teaching evidence-based and problem-solving skills including writing across platforms, communication, research, and critical thinking—all skills that directly transfer to various professions.
Program Highlights

Faculty have worked at community newspapers, local radio and television stations, and start-up internet companies, with work experience in related fields like public relations, marketing, and multimedia production
