About This Program

Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies is an interdisciplinary field that includes the study of:

  2. the ways in which gender distinctions and the construction and intersection of gender, sexuality, race, and class have affected human lives, and
  3. feminist scholarship.

This minor is designed to acquaint you with the past and present status, contributions, and concerns of women of diverse backgrounds; the many ways in which gender distinctions have affected human lives, as well as the construction and intersection of gender, race, and class; feminist scholarship; and critical and theoretical analyses and reflection upon these topics.
